Meet The Morning Rounds Coffee Founders
Nate - Surgeon Dallas, TX
Morning Rounds Coffee is more than a coffee. As healthcare workers, it is our way of giving back. Throughout medical school and surgery residency training, good coffee in the hospital was hard to find. As a medical team, we participated in “Morning Rounds” where physicians, nurses, therapists, and case workers, would spend time visiting each patient on the hospital floor to go over new findings and discuss the plan for that day. The coffee in the break rooms on the hospital ward was average to say the least. We are not just providing craft, quality coffee to those who deserve the BEST, we are building a community for healthcare workers through coffee, donation, and community. Come Rounds with US!

My first experience with medical school and residency reminded my of my past collegiate football days. I loved the team comradery and how mulitple healthcare teams worked together. But, over the years and especially with COVID, the stress and wear on my friends and myself really made it difficult to keep that team mentality. I noticed how much this was affecting everyones mental and physical health. My best memory that helped bring back that TEAM Mentatlity, was when someone brought coffee in for the team before rounds! I hope this company can bring back positive spirit of teamwork and bring awareness to the mental and physical stress all healthcare workers undergo.

The journey to become a physician, let alone a surgeon, ranges from 11-15+ years of post-High School training. Similarly, our nurses, advanced practice providers, scrub techs, nurse aids, radiology techs, etc. have to undergo extensive training in their respective fields. Without the beautiful concert of each team member, we wouldn’t be able to deliver high quality care to our patients.
